The colour purple

Apart from the skin, for which I used either Tombot or Copic, I can’t remember, I coloured this innocent little girl with my colouring pencils and blended/shaded with odourless solvent. I read about gumsol but can not get it where I live. Odourless solvent is great for blending and shading normal good colouring pencils. My pencils are from Faber Castel. I have the red student ones and the more professional ones. I still colour on any paper that I have and most of it is fine. I did buy some special copic paper to day though and 2 more copic markers. They are ever so expensive here. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this little card and you are welcome to criticise my work as I can only learn by it.

  1. Christal!! Your card is so cute!!! I also use colored pencils and an eco odourless solvent. As I bought some copics I´m only using the ones for skin and hairs. I love this combination!!
    Have a great weekend.

  3. Very cute card Crystal, you did a great job on your coloring! I don't use my pencils much but when I do I use Sansodor by Winsor&Newton. It's a low odor solvent and works well for me.

  4. Very sweet Crystal! Great job. I think the Gamsol is just the brand name for the odorless minerals.

  5. Christel she is such a cutie! I don't use copics because they are too expensive. I use Distress Inks and a water-filled pen to color my Tildas. And you can buy the specialty paper at Walmart, I did!

  9. Crystal, such a sweet card. I can't find gamsol here either, did see it online, maybe hero arts? Can't remember for sure. I am going to try using distress inks, but I have to get a water pen first. I love copics but yes they are expensive.
